The short version. We collect what we need to make your reels: your email, what you type and upload, and the reels we make for you. To write, animate and voice your reel, your prompts, script and pictures are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic for the writing and animation, ElevenLabs for the voice and music), and your reels are stored and made on our app server at DigitalOcean and rendered on Modal. Payments go through Stripe, and we never see your card number. We don't sell your data. Ask us and we delete it.
1. Who we are
GrowOnReels is run by Soundliminal LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the data controller. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, sign-in details, plan and settings. On the Studio plan, also your own Claude and ElevenLabs API keys, stored encrypted and used only to make your reels.
- What you give us to make a reel: your topic, your answers in the chat, scripts (ours or the one you paste), your call to action, pictures you upload, style reference images, and notes such as where a picture should go.
- What we make for you: scripts, animations, voiceovers, music, sound design, captions, finished reels and previews, and your brand kits (colours, type, style, voice and music preferences).
- Usage: credits used, reels made, redos, errors and timings, so we can bill correctly, fix problems and keep the service fair.
- Payments: Stripe handles your card. We receive your plan, billing status, invoices, billing country and limited card details such as the card brand and last four digits.
- Technical: IP address, browser and device type, and server logs, used for security and to prevent abuse.
If you sign in with Google. When you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, your email address (and whether Google has verified it) and your Google account ID with us, and nothing else: we never get your Google password, contacts, files, emails or any other Google data. We use them only to sign you in and to find or create your GrowOnReels account. We keep your email address, name and Google account ID with your account for as long as it is open, and we don't share or sell them. You can remove GrowOnReels' access at any time in your Google Account, under Security, "Your connections to third-party apps and services".
This website sets no cookies and loads no trackers or analytics. The app uses only the cookies or local storage it needs to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
3. How we use it, and why we're allowed to
- To make, store and deliver your reels and keep your brand kits: this is the service you signed up for (performance of a contract).
- To bill you and keep tax records (contract and legal obligation).
- To keep the service secure, stop abuse, fix bugs and watch cost and speed (our legitimate interests).
- To send service emails such as sign-in links, receipts and important changes (contract). Marketing emails only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time (consent).
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your uploads or reels to advertise GrowOnReels without asking you first.
4. Who else handles your data
We use a small number of providers to run GrowOnReels. Each one gets only what it needs.

Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy, for example Anthropic, ElevenLabs, DigitalOcean, Modal, Pexels and Stripe. Our AI providers may keep inputs for a limited time under their own terms, for example to detect abuse.
Some providers are in the United States or other countries outside yours. Where the law requires it (for example for transfers out of the EU, EEA or UK), we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, reels, brand kits and uploads: while your account is open, so you can download your reels again and every new reel stays fresh and on brand.
- Pictures and style references: until you delete them, the reel they belong to, or your account.
- After you delete your account or ask us to delete your data: removed from our systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires, which can be up to 10 years.
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it for a purpose you object to. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll answer within one month.
You can also complain to your data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.
7. Children
GrowOnReels is not meant for anyone under 16. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we delete it.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), limit access to the people who need it, and protect our provider accounts with strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you as the law requires.
9. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect.
